Nancy, my heart goes out to you and your family. You were so fortunate to have such a special Mom. I know Sarah truely loved the time she spent over the years with all of you. Her smile has left us all with warm feelings of the love she spread.

There are no good words to express our love for Lydia. We will miss our trips, the fun we had and of course the laughter. We have wonderful memories! Our hearts go out to the whole family. Just know that you are all in our thoughts. Love, Lois and Marty

DEAR HERB, I WAS LOOKING FOR NANCY'S PHONE NUMBER TODAY BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO CALL YOU AND BOTHER YOU. I KNOW WHEN MURRY PASSED AWAY, I JUST DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE, THE CRYING NEVER STOPPED. HERB, I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW LYDIA'S PASSING HAS AFFECTED ME. ALL I DO IS WALK AROUND THINKING OF ALL THE WONDERFUL YEARS WHEN WE ALL FIRST GOT MARRIED AND ALL THE FUN TIMES WE HAD. YOU AND MURRY REALLY MADE SOME TEAM. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND NANCY AND RUSSELL. REMIND NANCY THAT LYDIA TOLD ME, MANY TIMES, THAT SHE WOULD NEVER FORGET THAT I SAT WITH HER ALL DAY IN THE HOSP. WHEN NANCY WAS BORN BECAUSE IT WAS THE SAME DAY AS NAT'S FUNERAL. I AM SO SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, BELIEVE ME I KNOW JUST WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH. THIS E-MAIL WAS A LIFESAVER, I WANTED YOU TO KNOW I WAS THINKING OF ALL OF YOU. THIS WEBSITE IS GREAT, WE HAD IT FOR MURRY TOO! JUST BE STRONG! LOVE, LORI

I've unfortuneatley only have had the privledge of knowing Lydia & Herb for the past seven years, while Michael has known both for almost 25 years. We both agree that Lydia's spirit, strength, courage and devotion to her family was an inspiration to us all. Her presence in our lives was truly a gift, and she will surely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sadness, and we hope to celebrate with you all the happiness and joy that Lydia wanted for you in your lives.

I remember meeting Lydia when I was just a child. She was pregnant with Nancy and had braces at the time and I asked my Mom how a teenager could be pregnant. Lydia was one of my Mothers best friends and I know they are probably somewhere doing lunch right now. Lydia was the kind of person you could really talk to and as a child I always felt like she really enjoyed being around us kids. As an adult we talked often and when I was so sad about my mom passing away she always had some nice words of wisdom. Nancy and Russel, this is one of the hardest and saddest things you will ever go through. The loss of a mother is so primal. I have to tell you that you are so very lucky to have had such a great role model in your life. You will think of your Mom every day (like I do of mine) and know exactly what she would tell you when you need to make a decision where normally you would call her. She will remain inside both of you forever. You are lucky to have eachother and a wonderful and caring father. Take care of eachother (especially Uncle Herbie) during this trying time. The Reinhardt's will always be here for all of you. xo - Rachel

While we only spent limited time with Lydia, she left us with many lasting impressions. She was beauty & grace and brought sunshine everywhere she went. She possessed qualties which others could only strive to achieve. Our thoughts and sympathies are with her family at this most diifcult time.

Thank you for contacting me for the service on Monday....it was truly moving especially the poem by Linda Ellis...it's something we should live by. I met Lydia many years ago and what began as a business relationship grew into a trusted friendship. I looked foward to our lunches and talking politics and catching up on each others families...I will sorely miss my friend.

Harry and I feel so enriched by Lydia's presence in our lives. She truly was "A Woman of Valor", who inspires strength and courage in all of us. We feel blessed that Lydia was a part of our extended family and the wonderful times we shared will live with us forever. With Love, Marjie & Harry Seid

Lydia was a dedicated volunteer at Anna House, the child care center at Belmont Racetrack. She especially loved working with the infants, who loved her in return as we all did. Her smile and enthusiasm were infectious to us at The BCCA and the staff at Anna House. She will be missed. Our condolences to Herb, a BCCA Board Member, and the entire Oster family.

We will always cherish the memories that we shared with Lydia and Herb and will miss seeing Lydia at family events. We loved Lydia very much and knew that she loved and cared for us by her kind words and actions. I will always remember her soothing and steady presence, qualities for which I admired her. Lydia was a fantastic, dynamic woman and a true role model. We know her legacy and generosity of spirit will live on as she was loved and respected by so many people in her life. Our thoughts and love are with you all as we share in your grief. Love, Sara, David, Allison and Samantha

I am a friend of Jill's mom. I didn't know Lydia well, but after meeting her I felt like I'd known her for a long while. Her friendliness and warmth leaves a lastly impression. She was a lovely woman. My heartfelt thoughts go to Herb and her children, in-law children and grandchildren. Love, Myra Loonin
